This short Annapurna trek is suitable for anyone with limited time. It offers dramatic scenery and can be walked at any time during the year. This special trek packages that takes you to the foothills of famous Annapurna through the rugged hills of Ghandruk. This is a spectacular retreat that matches the amazing beauty of nature with a taste of the unique local culture of Gurung, Magar and Thakali communities people. We follow  the trails of terraced farmlands, verdant rhododendron forests and diverse landscape with spectacular Annapurna range during this treks. Poonhill is  a hilltop as it guarantees outstanding  panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri.

The circular 4 days Annapurna trek begins and ends in Pokhara, a lake city which is 25 minutes by air or 6-7 hours by road west of Kathmandu. Two hour drivethrough forested hills and farmland leads to Nayapul, the start of the trek. The Annapurna trekking trail rises through forests and terraced fields. The second day is steeper but takes you through dense forests of oak and rhododendron to the prosperous village of Ghorepani.

An early morning walk up Poon Hill is rewarded with magnificent sunrise views of the huge Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range to the north and lowland hills to the south. After breakfast, the trail follows ridges to Tadapani with plenty of snow-peak views including the iconic Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail). Day four drops along a river to Nayapul.

Itinerary

Day 1 Pokhara– Nayapul –Tikhedhunga - Ulleri : 2 hrs drive & 5-6 hrs trek

After breakfast, drive along the zigzag route to Nayapul where we begin our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous riverside village at the convergence of the Modi and Bhurungdi Kholas (streams). We hike up to Sudame along the off road and then climb gradually up the side of the valley, Tikhedhunga. We pass through forest, settlement areas ,cross suspension bridge and steep ascent on stone staircases to the village of Ulleri – and an amazing landscape of valley floor where we came during the day with marvelous views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

Day 2Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,850m) : 5-6 hours trek

After breakfast, our pleasant trekking begins as we follow trails through lush forest (rhododendron and oak) forests, quaint villages, cross suspension bridge to reach Ghorepani. Upper Ghorepani (Deurali) where we stay in this trip, offers amazing views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Himalayas.

Day 3Hike Poon hill (3210m), and trek - Tadapani (2,520m): 6-7 hours

We start our trek from Tadapani, on hiking for an hour we reach to Poon hill (3210m/10530ft), the route offers the glimpse of the pleasant rhododendron forest. This brilliant viewpoint provides us an spectacular sunrise over the high Himalayas and the wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya of Dolpo, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and wised range of Annapurna Himalayas including Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) and all the way to Manasalu.

Day 4Tadapani - Naya pul and drive to Pokhara (910m): 5-6 hrs trek & 2 hour drive

We start our morning with a walk through the forested and downhill path most of the way with occasional view of the Mountain leads us through the gradual path most of the trail to Ghandrung village, After lunch trek down to the Syalui bazzar settled in river bank of Modi River. The walk is moderately flat most of the way following down stream of Modi River until Birethanthi and an easy trek to Nayapul. Our adventure ends here and we drive back to Pokhara.
