Island peak clmibing is a popular mountaineering program in Nepal as ascending the Island Peak is comparatively easier than other expeditions. The Island Peak is also known as Imja Tse. The peak looks like an island between a sea of ice as seen from Dingboche; this is where the peak gets its name from. When compared to other peaks, this peak is a relatively difficult climb. Island Peak is an excellent adventure into altitudes above 6000m without great technical difficulty. Thanks to its location, the acclimatization to the altitude can be easily accomplished through a trek to Everest Base Camp or any other trek in the region. It is a great add-on activity for the adventure seeker.
